Well, I can definetely say the Lord is going to be doing MIGHTY things this semster in Montebelluna, Italy.
Looking back to the end of the semester in Murrieta, California, I can see How faithful the Lord was to me to fulfill His promise to me about providing for me to come to Italy for this semster of Fall 2008 in Montebelluna, Italy.
I left Bangor, Maine on September 4th, 2008 at 333pm. I arrived at the VCE Airport (Venice, Italy) around 10am on Friday September 5th. We had about a 45 minute drive and I was brought right to the apartment where I would be sharing a residence with the other girls.
Laura and Krysten were upstairs to great me and I went in and chose my bed and unpacked.
That day we also went to the grocery store so I could get some food. It was very frustrating and a big blur because of the different language, which I didnt know Italian other than "Ciao", and I knew that wouldnt get me that far! :-)
I was the first student besides the interns to arrive in Montebelluna, so I had some time to have room and get used to the area a little bit. Bethany arrived on Saturday, so that was nice to have another person in the room.
There was a lot of little things that were still trying to be figured out in our apartment, but it made us become very flexible quickly.
1.We didnt know how to start the dishwasher.
2. Our kitchen sink leaked so we could wash the dishes in the sink, so we wash then the laundry room.
3. We had no hot water for showers, etc.
4. There is no airconditioning and Italy is currently hot and sticky/humid!
5. Our power was out for almost 3 days because of an afternoon thunderstorm and our food rotted in the refridgerator.
6. The internet wasnt working/ and we didnt have a phone yet.
Well, Those things were minor, now that Im thinking about it, but after coming from the comfort of home and everything familiar, it seemed more difficult. Most of the guys also arrived on Saturday and they had pretty bad jet lag, so that was difficult for them. The first few days are kind of a blur to me right now because of all the differences that come easily and have became a normality to be currently. So, that was pretty much the beginning or the first couple days for me in Italy! :-)

Oh!! I also had my first gelato with Laura, Krysten and Kyle in town! (Picture above! :-))
