Sicily Preparation...

As the week goes on I'm getting more and more excited about Sicily. We're going to Be leaving Montebelluna on Sunday around 9 am and we will be arriving in Syracuse, Sicily around 2pm. We will be staying in Syracuse for the first 3 nights with whoever offers us a place to say. The rest of the week we will be going to 2 other churches around Sicily. In total, we will be visiting 3 different churches during the seven days that we will be in Sicily. I'm pretty excited about this trip because Dave told us that this is the first trip that Calvary Chapel had EVER taken to Sicily! There have been individuals that have visited Sicily, but a group from Calvary Chapel has never gone down there. Apparently, from Dave previously visiting Sicily and a few other people, we will be arriving with a good report to the Christians in Sicily. I have heard that the Sicilian culture is VERY welcoming and that we will be receiving many hugs and kisses! haha. The three churches that we will be visiting in Sicily are very pentecostal, for example: Men and Women are separated in the services, the women wear veils and long skirts, BUT they love the Lord! haha. SO, also, we are praying that the Lord will provide places for us to sleep each night, because we are walking by faith on this whole trip! :-) Which, personally, is part of why I'm excited.
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1
I know that the Lord is going to show Himself strong throughout this next coming week.
We are going to be doing a lot of "sight-seeing" also, and just spending time with the youth in the churches that we are going to be visiting.
Dave is going to be doing some teachings at the churches and he is going to be speaking about purity to the youth, and we will be hanging out with them each day.
SO, I know that all of us going to Sicily would greatly appreciate ALL the prayer we can get for this trip! It's truly a mission trip and the Lord is going to do mighty things I believe.
Also, part of the reason that we are going down is to spread the word about the Bible College here in Montebelluna. The staff here had the vision of this campus to be fully italian classes by Fall 2009. There is one guy in Sicily that is interested in the Bible College already.

Prayer Requests:
Sicily= that the Lord would provide places for us to sleep and meals when they are needed :-) That the youth would be drawn to us because of the fire that we have for the Lord and the love for Him that is in us. That the Bible College would become and interest in the youth in Sicily. That all of the finances would come together for the car rental, etc. Blessings for the whole week! that we would be blessed with a boat ride in the Mediterranean :D and good weather!- even though it's in comparison to Southern CA. :-D haha
Norway- we also have a group visiting there during the same week, so for safe travel and for the work of the Lord to be established.
Rome- we have a small group vising Rome this same week also, so prayed that they would be willing servants of the Lord serving along Brent (pastor of CC Rome) and his family, and that they would take opportunities to witness in the city of Rome.
UNITY- I can tell that Satan is hard at work in the apartments of the students here. Please pray that we would be encouraging each other in the word and that LOVE would cover all sin, that bitterness wouldn't root in anyone's heart, and that we would obey those over us and all the rules that are here at CCBC Italy.
Thank you so much for all your prayers! :-)

Here are also some more pictures from Austria that I havent posed yet.... and maybe some others from the semster..... Enjoy!

Old News, and Austria...

I cant even start to explain all the things that the Lord has been doing here! I think that mostly right now He is working on the hearts of everyone here in a great way. For me, I have truly fallen in love with the Lord, I know that I need Him so much more every single day. In my classes everyday here I'm getting closer to the Lord and its an exciting thing. I think that coming to Italy was SO from the Lord and I'm excited to have that expectation that the Lord is going to be doing something great here in Montebelluna, Italy.
Its so great living with four other girls here in the flat because we are all so honest with each other and we can hold each other accountable in so many different ways. I don't even think that I can compare this to the Murrieta campus in any way at all! Here we have to LIVE out what we are learning every day. There is NO “Christ bubble” here!
I truly feel like we are all missionaries here right now and I love it! There are still some things going wrong in the apartment but we are prepared and we know that Satan is definitely at work in different ways, but its not shaking us at all, and I love it! “He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.”-1 John4:4
We just got back from Austria two days ago. It was AMAZING! We were living in a castle on a mountain in the Austrian Alps for 5 days! :-) We had a speaker come from New Jersey and he spoke about what to expect in the ministry and how ministry is serving the Lord alone and that God wants willing hearts to do his work. We would have 3 amazing meals each day and two sessions from the Speaker (Russell). Russell also does video footage, so each day he took some of the student to different places in Austria and did video footage. I went on Wednesday, and we went to a waterfall that fell over a mountain, we went to a grave yard that was by and old burg and there was a little walled town where Russell bought us all pastries and coffee! :-) Then we went to a torture museum, which showed all the different ways throughout time that Catholics would torture people so they would convert to Catholicism, which is awful! It was also very interesting though, and sick at the same time!
Although, on the spiritual side of this past week, I think that the Lord had His perfect timing once again for a refreshing week of listening to His Word. We had great times of worship together, played volleyball, ping-pong, badminton, drank coffee, and came to our knees before the Lord together. I think that it was a good time of unity for this semester, and I think that the Lord still has a lot ahead for us in the next 3 months that we will be here. I will be leaving a week from today for Sicily! We have three outreach teams leaving this coming weekend for a week of sharing the word, praying, and being used as instruments of the Lord. We will be having a group of three going to Rome, a group of eight going to Norway, and a group (me included) going to Sicily. It will be very exciting to come together after and see how the Lord has used us. This week is a normal week of classes and then we're off for outreach week!!
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: 'Whom shall I send, and whom will go for Us?' Then I said, 'Here am I! Send me.” - Isaiah 6:8,9
So, on a different note...Our hot water is back on, and our stove is now working! :-) So, things are coming together well as the first semester goes along. Hopefully, after I come back from Sicily I will be going to Padova on the weekends to help out with the church, and so hopefully that will be working out soon.
