I cant even start to explain all the things that the Lord has been doing here! I think that mostly right now He is working on the hearts of everyone here in a great way. For me, I have truly fallen in love with the Lord, I know that I need Him so much more every single day. In my classes everyday here I'm getting closer to the Lord and its an exciting thing. I think that coming to Italy was SO from the Lord and I'm excited to have that expectation that the Lord is going to be doing something great here in Montebelluna, Italy.
Its so great living with four other girls here in the flat because we are all so honest with each other and we can hold each other accountable in so many different ways. I don't even think that I can compare this to the Murrieta campus in any way at all! Here we have to LIVE out what we are learning every day. There is NO “Christ bubble” here!
I truly feel like we are all missionaries here right now and I love it! There are still some things going wrong in the apartment but we are prepared and we know that Satan is definitely at work in different ways, but its not shaking us at all, and I love it! “He that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.”-1 John4:4
We just got back from Austria two days ago. It was AMAZING! We were living in a castle on a mountain in the Austrian Alps for 5 days! :-) We had a speaker come from New Jersey and he spoke about what to expect in the ministry and how ministry is serving the Lord alone and that God wants willing hearts to do his work. We would have 3 amazing meals each day and two sessions from the Speaker (Russell). Russell also does video footage, so each day he took some of the student to different places in Austria and did video footage. I went on Wednesday, and we went to a waterfall that fell over a mountain, we went to a grave yard that was by and old burg and there was a little walled town where Russell bought us all pastries and coffee! :-) Then we went to a torture museum, which showed all the different ways throughout time that Catholics would torture people so they would convert to Catholicism, which is awful! It was also very interesting though, and sick at the same time!
Although, on the spiritual side of this past week, I think that the Lord had His perfect timing once again for a refreshing week of listening to His Word. We had great times of worship together, played volleyball, ping-pong, badminton, drank coffee, and came to our knees before the Lord together. I think that it was a good time of unity for this semester, and I think that the Lord still has a lot ahead for us in the next 3 months that we will be here. I will be leaving a week from today for Sicily! We have three outreach teams leaving this coming weekend for a week of sharing the word, praying, and being used as instruments of the Lord. We will be having a group of three going to Rome, a group of eight going to Norway, and a group (me included) going to Sicily. It will be very exciting to come together after and see how the Lord has used us. This week is a normal week of classes and then we're off for outreach week!!
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: 'Whom shall I send, and whom will go for Us?' Then I said, 'Here am I! Send me.” - Isaiah 6:8,9
So, on a different note...Our hot water is back on, and our stove is now working! :-) So, things are coming together well as the first semester goes along. Hopefully, after I come back from Sicily I will be going to Padova on the weekends to help out with the church, and so hopefully that will be working out soon.
